Booda Organics Review and Giveaway

Winter is coming, which here in Canada means three or four months of parkas, toques, polar bear commutes (kidding!), and chapped skin and lips. There’s not much to do in resolving the bone-chilling weather, but now I have a way to protect my skin and lips despite the cold winter air!

When I reached out to Tara of Booda Organics several months ago inquiring about the availability of their products here in Canada, she informed me that they were in the process of making shipping available to Canada. Now they are all set up to send their certified vegan, soy, bee and gluten-free products to Canada and will be sending one gift set to a lucky reader. Read to the end for your chance to win!

Booda Butter Gift Set Tara generously sent me a gift set of my own to try out, and I have nothing but good things to say about the products included.

Ingredients

“What goes ON you, goes IN you, so keep it clean”; truer words were never spoken! I am a big fan of using products without chemicals or preservatives, and Booda Organics delivers on both these criteria. Booda Organics uses Organic Cocoa Butter, Organic Shea Butter, Organic Coconut, Jojoba, Olive and Sweet Almond Oil (Note: those with almond allergies should probably avoid these products), and Candelilla Wax for their body butter and lip balms; the website describes in great detail all the great benefits of these ingredients. Not only do these products feel great, but they also smell amazing in a way that doesn’t overwhelm the senses. The fact that the products are hand-made in the United States is another bonus!

Uses

I love the quality, results, and versatility of Booda Organics’ products. I’ve been slathering the lip balm on my lips with great results, and have used the body butter to keep my hands moisturized. The products absorb relatively quickly into the skin and keeps it well moisturized. The website describes 50 uses for Booda Butter, many of which I would have never considered! It’s great to know that Booda Butter can be effective for soothing burns and eczema, diminishing acnes scars, removing makeup, and moisturizing a sore nose during a cold.

Packaging

The packaging of Booda’s products is beautiful, not to mention reusable and recyclable, and come shipped in insulated packaging to avoid the product from melting in transit (and is also recyclable). The gift set comes with a tiny Buddha figurine and a blank note card as a special bonus! With the holiday season approaching, keep Booda Organics products in mind when gift-giving (for others or yourself ;)).

Booda Organics Buddha How cute is he? Now it’s your chance to win your own gift set (open to residents of the United States and Canada). You have until Saturday October 26th to enter and the winner will announced next Monday; good luck!

  5. Oh I love natural lip balm. I learned about the active ingredient in most lip balms, and how it actually dries out your lips. I’ll never use anything with that stuff in it again. Great giveaway!
