Virtual Tea Time #8
Hello friend! I’ve brewed a pot of tea; won’t you join me for a cup?
Not going to lie; I’ve sort of had rough week. Nothing major just a bunch of crappy isolated incidents bringing down the general mood. That being said, there were also a bunch of really fun things I got to do this week; let’s focus on the positives, shall we?
I took a much needed half-day off on Friday after working an extra long day earlier in the week. I jumped at the opportunity to work on some recipes, and to take advantage of the daylight to practice some food photography! Here I am in action taking a few snapshots of my lunch snack plate (inspired by Amanda)!
We kicked off the second weekend of my yoga teacher training this weekend with some partner yoga (I’m the one in the gray shirt). If you ever get a chance to try out partner yoga, I learned that trust is the defining factor of success!
I have been loving my daily commutes to my placement for the only reason that I get 45 minutes a day of solid, uninterrupted reading time. This week I whizzed through Chris Hadfield’s biography, An Astronaut’s Guide to Life. It was a really enjoyable read, and reinforced my childhood dreams of making it to space. I’m not sure I’ll truly get there in my lifetime, so instead I’ll have to stick with watching this video.
Please tell me I’m not the only one who gets a rush out of cracking the cap off a pristine, un-squeezed tube of toothpaste. I’m usually strictly a mint girl, but I decided to go a bit crazy and try out the cinnamon variety. It feels kind of like brushing your teeth with dessert; I don’t hate it!
