Virtual Tea Time : Getting to Know You
There’s nothing like a little vacation to reboot the brain. As I mentioned on Wednesday, I was feeling a wee burnt out from life in general; having a week off was just what I needed! The mental detox seems to have completely reinstated my passion for blogging as well, and I have a ton of fun posts lined up over the next new weeks!
Currently eating: Strawberry Banana Oats + Sunbutter!
Spending time with friends this week made me realize how much I love connecting with people; be it face-to-face or virtual. Even though I make an effort to be candid and open with all of you, there are many things I’m sure you don’t know about me. I’m planning on updating my ‘About’ page soon, and I would love any ideas for what I should include (I’m not the best at talking about myself). It goes both ways though; I want to get to know you too! Arman’s Spill it Sundays suggest some great ice breakers to help us get to know one another. This week’s topic is one of my favourites; book! Here, I’ll go first. Take this opportunity to fill up your cup of tea; I could talk about books for hours!
Currently sipping: PC Rooibos Tea
I’ve been reading for as long as I can remember (seriously, some of my earliest memories involve reading) and I think my taste in literature has evolved some. When I was younger I couldn’t get enough of The Adventures of Mary-Kate and Ashley (will they solve the crime?! Oh the suspense!) Later I somehow got lured into The Clique series. I’m glad to say those days are behind me.
Some of my favourites: Eating Animals, She’s Come Undone, Room, The Four Agreements, Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff, The Alchemist, The Glass Castle, Dearie, The Pillars of the Earth, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
I am a bit fanatical about books. When I say a bit I mean a lot. I keep a Word document in my Dropbox of all the books I’ve read (including a legend describing if I liked it or not); that way I have access to it at all times in case someone brings up books. Take this as your warning; speak the word book, novel, story, or any of its derivatives and be prepared to throw all other conversation out the window.
