Bowl of Cereal [Recipe]

Hey there, recipe lovers! I hope you are enjoying your Tuesday so far  I just wanted to pop in quickly today to share with you a really awesome recipe I have been loving for years. It’s super easy, and is almost guaranteed to satisfy all cereal enthusiasts!

Bowl of Cereal

Cereal is a great way to start your day (hey, I’m a poet and I didn’t even know it)! It’s really easy to prepare and takes little muscle or brain energy. I can almost guarantee that even the most kitchen-clueless of individuals can master this recipe.

There is really only one difficult aspect to this recipe; choosing a box of cereal. Holy choices, batman! Depending on the size of your grocery store, selecting a milk variety may also be a challenge. Personally I enjoy a coconut almond milk or an unsweetened soy, but you can use whatever floats your boat (or cereal in this case :P ).

Now that the hard part is over we can get into the actual recipe. There are four easy steps to remember, and I’ve conveniently summarized them in a handy acronym:

D- Dish: select a dish. A bowl works well.

O- Open: open your cereal box and milk carton

P- Pour: pour your cereal and milk (Note: depending on your preference, you can choose to either pour your cereal or milk first. If you’re feeling adventurous, do both at the same time!)

E- Eat! I like to use a spoon.

Without any further ado, the detailed recipe to get you munching on your very own bowl of cereal!

  1. Hahaha April Fool’s? :D

My favourite cereal is Kashi Honey Almond Flax, although lately I’m really loving Nature’s Path Flax Plus too – I like mixing the two together!

My parents rarely bought sugary cereals when I was a kid, but when they did I always liked to get Cap’n Crunch or Froot Loops.

  2. I wasn’t quite sure what to make of this until I remembered what day it was…:-p
Favourite cereals: Mini Wheats, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Peanut Butter Puffins. I don’t know which cereals were only for special occasions…I guess anything with chocolate, because my mom didn’t let us buy chocolate-based stuff (cereal, poptarts, etc) for breakfast.

  5. This is so adorable! I was a few days late on it, but I still giggled ;)

Favourite cereals now? Nature’s Path Crispy Brown Rice or their Mesa Sunrise are pretty tasty as is their hemp granola. Or let’s not forget gluten-free peanut butter puffs. Oh man. I can’t keep those in the house for long at all!

Cereals that were reserved for special occasions: fruit loops or cinnamon toast crunch. Normally wasn’t allowed anything sugary!
